Barnwood
The Barnwood cabin overlooks fragrant pines and hardwoods. Late spring brings beautiful dogwood blossoms and fall will delight you with nature’s gorgeous colors. Sample wild blackberries and appreciate the wild flowers that are in abundance. Feel cool summer breezes brush your skin as you escape from the heat of summer. Watch the snow fall and listen to its quiet landing as it blankets the ground. Relax in the rustic décor in this cabin which includes wood from an old barn on our property. Rich hand crafted furniture, including a king sized bed and spacious armoire, adds to its charm. Country rockers on the porch are a tempting way to spend the afternoon. Soak yourself in the large Jacuzzi brand whirlpool tub, complete with soft waterfall and underwater lighting. There is no need to add warm water to your bath as this tub comes with an inline heater to maintain a warm temperature. Wrap yourself in the soft terry robes provided and sit in front of the large window or wood burning fireplace. Watch satellite television complete with music channels, play your favorite CD in the clock radio/CD player, or just listen to the crackle of a fire. The Barnwood cabin is equipped with a small refrigerator for your perishables and a microwave for those late night popcorn cravings. A coffee pot and its essentials are supplied as well. Your breakfast will surprise and delight you as morning brings a homemade breakfast to your door that you will enjoy in the privacy of your cabin. Savor warm, freshly baked breads covered with sweet, creamy butter while drinking that first cup of coffee or juice. Will you have breakfast in bed, in front of the fire, or in rockers on the porch? Sunday-Thursday $150/night. Friday-Saturday and Holidays $170/night. Tax not included in price.

We are located in the mountains of Southwest Virginia in the small community of Crockett, just outside of Wytheville. Check-out 11:00 a.m. Smoking is prohibited in the cabins. However, smoking is allowed outside and on porches. Please use appropriate disposal receptacles. A $200 cleaning fee will be added to the final bill if non smoking rule is disregarded. We cannot accommodate children or pets which help us assure a tranquil and private mountain stay. Visa & MasterCard accepted. Personal checks and cash preferred. A minimum of one night’s deposit or 50% of total stay, whichever is greater, is required when making a reservation. Balance is due at checkout. One week cancellation notice is required to receive refund of deposit less $10 bookkeeping charge. If cancellation notice is received less than one week from date reserved, deposit is subject to forfeiture if we are unable to rent the cabin for the dates you reserved. DRIVING DIRECTIONS: Driving on I-81South or I-77 take the Wytheville Exit number 73 through downtown Wytheville on Main Street. After several miles Main Street veers left to become Route 21 South. From exit 73 you will travel about 10.5 miles to Route 651.Turn right onto Route 651, which is also Spraker Road. There will be a large blue Virginia Dept. of Transportation sign at the corner. Travel ¾ of a mile. Turn right onto Log Cabin Lane. Office is the first building on the left at the base of the hill. Driving on I-81 North take exit 60 and turn right at the end of the ramp. Around 2 miles you will see two tall orange water towers and right before them you will turn left on to Ridge Avenue. Take Ridge Avenue for 3.5 miles and turn right on Huckleberry Road than at the next road turn right again which is Huckleberry again. Huckleberry will turn into Spraker (Huckleberry will turn right but you keep going straight) and around 2 miles you will turn left onto Log Cabin Lane and the office is the first building on the left at the base of the hill.
